Sunday, Minus the Sun

Amy and I went to Cleveland yesterday to roam around. She look me to the West Side Market, which is this huge train station-esque building where merchants sell fruits, meats, vegetables, desserts, bread... everything! The whole market seemed very much out of place in the decaying downtown of Cleveland, but I loved that there was so much culture somewhere in Ohio. I wish I had money and a kitchen, because I would have gone home with bags full of groceries :)

I went to a neurologist this past Wednesday (who studied at UofL for his undergrad, small world...). He concluded that I have cervical dystonia: Cervical Dystonia, also known as spasmodic torticollis, is a focal dystonia characterized by neck muscles contracting involuntarily, causing abnormal movements and posture of the head and neck. Apparently the only known cure is to inject botox into the offending muscles! I... am not comfortable with botox injections. The doctor said that only one to two injections are necessary and then it should be gone forever. I'm taking muscle relaxers first though, to see if they help at all. But it's been about five days since I started taking them, and my neck is as active and annoying as ever. I really hope this doesn't plague me for the rest of my life, I've been pretty embarrassed to go out in public lately.
Not much is going on, I've had two midterms this past week and another one on Tuesday. Lately I've been inspired to start taking pictures again, unfortunately everything in Kent is so gray and cold. I'll be going to Louisville-Lexington this weekend for a change of scenery, hopefully I'll have more interesting things to take pictures of.
